griftopia
So I tried to upgrade to 10.13 and installer gives error - cannot check firmware. I understand this would need correct "Firmware Features" value in config.plist. Is there a list somewhere for mask vs MacBook being simulated in SMBIOS? For the moment I need correct value for MBA5,2. Hope I'm on the right track.

griftopia
Great! I will look at which files jakes packs provided and then override the new efi folder Clover install will create. Not sure if it will whack my efi folder or only copy necessary files. Don't want to be left with unbootable laptop and have to restore backup and start all over again. Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 29, 2017 Moderators Share Posted September 29, 2017 You can generate a new Smbios with latest CC v4.52. Make sure to enable FixHeaders_20000000 as well. Also use the latest Clover v4220 (currently)
griftopia
Thanks. I will remember to do all that. need to understand fix headers stuff. Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 29, 2017 Moderators Share Posted September 29, 2017 The fixHeader was to fix some issue with some SSDT that's causing KP found during High Sierra DP testing. Originally disabling BGRT.aml fixes the issue which later integrated into Clover as FixHeaders...that's the gist of it. You can copy your serial, generate new smbios with new CC, paste your serial back and save the file...done
