mill3rkydd
Well Windows 8 is finally out and I am gonna be stuck on Lion (intel) so is it possible to dual-boot both operating systems? Thank you.
Administrators Hervé Posted October 27, 2012 Administrators Share Posted October 27, 2012 I see no reason why it would not. Dual boot OS X/Win7 works just fine, so does triple boot OS X/Win7/Linux or various other combinations.
Tengokuu
As Herve said, it should work without a problem. But if you'd like to know how I do it, I'll lend you my process. 1. Set up partitions in Disk Utility, making your Windows partition MS-DOS (FAT) 2. Reboot into Windows 8 installer, erase the MS-DOS parition, and recreate it as NTFS (The installer should do that.) 3. Once installer finishes (Chameleon bootloader may be gone), set up Windows 8 to whatever tickles your peach. 4. Connect OSX Install USB, use it to boot into your existing OSX installation. 5. Reinstall the Chameleon bootloader, and have fun with your dual boot. That's the my process of dual-booting Windows with OSX, and it hasn't failed me yet.
