Broadcom BCM4352 802.11 ac wifi and bluetooth combo card

Hello everyone. I've made the dsdt patching and the kext patching on my azurewave aw-ce132h and my laptop recognized it, but I can't turn it on in any way. I don't know what could possibly be the problem, but it's driving me crazy... Any suggestions? The card is new and works perfectly in Windows and Linux.

 

I am running Mavericks on an intel hm77 chipset.

 

Please, I would really appreciate some advice, it appears as "Off" always.

there was a solution here about some laptops might have to tape over some pin on the card to activate it.

Anyone know how to make the 5ghz patch work on Yosemite?  After upgrading to Yosemite I can only connect at 2.4ghz

Put these commands in terminal..

 

sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x58\x54\x00\x2B\x18\x2C\x21\x00\x20|\x58\x54\x08\x0A\x36\x1C\x47\x00\x0A|g' /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortBrcm4360.kext/Contents/MacOS/AirPortBrcm4360

 

 

sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions/

Broadcom BCM4352 HMB 5gz Wireless+BT 4.0  (AzureWave AW-CE123H) on Yosemite 10.10.1

For those with issues surrounding handoff support and 5gz using US country code you want to do the following:
 
1) download and install BTFirmwareUploader_v2.6_Final.zip

2) download and run wireless_bcm94352-100_patch.command.zip

a. Select 1 (for Handoff only)

 enter password

3) Copy the kext "IO80211Family.kext" from System/Library/Extensions to Desktop
4) Go to folder: IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortBrcm4360.kext/Contents/MacOS/ and  Open the "AirPortBrcm4360" in hexfiend app
5) Press Command + F to search
6) Enter the following hex codes in Find and replace box

a) Find: 6B 10 00 00 75 0D   Replace: 6B 10 00 00 90 90  (for Cosmetic Fix "Unknown -> AirPort " )

 Find: 58 54 00 2B 18 2C 21 00 20  Replace: 55 53 08 0A 36 1C 47 00 0A (for 5 GHz Fix for BCM94352HMB with US country) - NOTE: This is the same as using this: sudo perl -pi -e 's|\x58\x54\x00\x2B\x18\x2C\x21\x00\x20|\x55\x53\x08\x0A\x36\x1C\x47\x00\x0A|g'/System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AirPortBrcm4360.kext/Contents/MacOS/AirPortBrcm4360 

OR  Find: 58 54 00 2B 18 2C 21 00 20   Replace: 58 54 08 0A 36 1C 47 00 0A  (for 5 GHz Fix for BCM94352HMB with XT country)

7) Save, Close & Install the kext.

8) Open Terminal and run the following: sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions/
9) Repair Disk Permissions

10) Restart

 

OTHER NOTES: I found that it didn't make any difference to make the following patch to the kext "AirPortBrcm4360.kext" located at System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/Plugins/ using:

So I just left it out. Works the same without it.
