I have this fix working on Yosemite DP7 but I have to login twice after bootup, the I moved the plist file from /Library/LunchAgents to /System/Library/LunchAgents to solve the twice login, but it still blinks the screen after i have logged on though. I suggest you remove the Display Sleep feature in this fix and let us try it out. Anyway thanks a bunch.

Hello!

Thank you for this fix.  However, something weird started happening after I ran the fix.  Upon boot-up, I have to enter in my login credentials twice.  Is this normal or did I do something wrong?

Regards,

Mr. Sunshine

It is a bit late but... when Installing script, in the plist, the default config is -swb. You must change it to only -b so that it only changes the brightness level :)

It is working very well on boot but... can I change the brightness level at runtime?

I tried typing this in Terminal: sudo /usr/bin/BrightnessFix -b 0.4

And I get: BrightnessFix: Brightness read operation failed

Why can't I change it?

Thank you very much!

What is your OSX version? Can you send me your ioreg and system log?
