Audio (ALC292) sometimes works, sometimes doesn't work

Your info.plist is the same as mine.

 

Did you make sure to deactivate AppleHDA.kext? (remove AppleHDA.kext, repair permissions and rebuild caches.)

If you edited HDEF section of DSDT. You may need to revert it to default.

 

Try 2.8.5 (I have not tried it yet.) It works without modified info.plist.

Getting the codec dump

First, we need get the dump of your audio codec from linux. So, get into any of the Linux distributions of either Live USB/CD (or) Full install.  

And enter the following command in terminal to get the dump in text format at Desktop.

 

cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#0 > ~/Desktop/codec_dump.txt
(or)

cat /proc/asound/card1/codec#0 > ~/Desktop/codec_dump.txt
(or)
cat /proc/asound/card0/codec#1 > ~/Desktop/codec_dump.txt
 

 

or try DPCIManager https://sourceforge.net/projects/dpcimanager/
