Lior Frenkel
Hi, Can you explain or give some links about what is the modded BIOS for, and is there an option to do a recovery from a usb pen or a CD instead of a floppy disk? (I don't have a floppy drive...) Thanks a lot and thank you for the work you've done! Lior
crc-error404
Bios mod is just to have a osx working dsdt in bios - nothing else. so if u have installation problems this is the best way to get rid of it. Recoverfiles are maybe flashable via usb drive, i dont know (i never tried because i have a floppy and it worked) and i dont need a recover, because all files i made worked at my notebooks and because of (afaik) there is only one type of m4300 it should work on every m4300 too. But i cant promise. Apple Logo on Bios screen is just cosmetic - i like it If you want mod your bios at your own go to mydigitallife and try your luck. Start with PhoenixTool - the only way to hack your bios btw. cheers

derFunkenstein
Pretty awesome - the BIOS just took my eBay special from A11 to A15 and Lion is installing now. Thanks!
Hanswurst
Hello. Will this BIOS also work with Mavericks? It should, as DSDT is allways the same, isn't it? Thanks a lot. Yours Simon
Administrators Hervé Posted December 19, 2013 Administrators Share Posted December 19, 2013 DSDT is a BIOS table; as such it's not direclty related to the OS... But these custom BIOSes are no longer available, so stick to mainstream A15 + bootpack DSDT.
