Administrators Hervé Posted September 13, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2019 As the guide clearly states, use IORegistryExplorer app to browse your system's IOReg. Look for your card's PCI id, i.e. 14e4:43a3. It'll be shown in one of the devices listed under PCI0 root bridge. Once you find it, you'll find the rest. The guide includes a screenshot of IORegistryExplorer showing a DW1820A card, so you cannot go wrong...
Raffay
@Hervé I tried searching for 14e4:43a3 in the search box but nothing pop up absolutely. I had attached my updated debug file here.debug_15688.zip
Administrators Hervé Posted September 13, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2019 Look at the data displayed to the right for the various devices listed under PCI0. There are well-known names like HDEF (for audio), EHCx/EH0x (for USB hubs), SATxx (for SATA), PS2K (for keyboard), PS2M (for mouse/Touchpad), etc. Add-on cards connected to expansions slots are usually found attached to devices such as RP0x or something along those lines. Raffay
@Hervé I identified the device and applied the patching via Clover Configurator. I applied the patch but to my dismay upon restarting I’m encountering the error. In verbose the last two lines are: sscn not implemented in ACPI tables fmcn not implemented in ACPI tables And the booting is stuck there. I am able to boot again my restoring the EFI partition. Kindly let me know what should I do.
Administrators Hervé Posted September 13, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2019 I can only guess you did not inject the BCM4350 properties properly; given that you have the 1028:0023 model, I'd avise you to get a DW1560 and forget about the DW1820A. Raffay
@Hervé I came to know the 1560 will also not work OOB. Is this true? Also will it work under Windows? I have a dual boot setup in place actually.
Administrators Hervé Posted September 13, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2019 The DW1560 is fully supported under macOS; not OOB but fully supported nevertheless. You can look it up on the forum.
Raffay
@Hervé What about Windows then? I have heard it has issues under Windows
Administrators Hervé Posted September 13, 2019 Administrators Share Posted September 13, 2019 You would have heard wrong. Now let's avoid the off-topic.
Raffay
@Hervé So I will ponder on DW1560. Meanwhile I had reapplied the patches and the system booted. But there is still no WiFi. I know this card causes instability but in my case it isn’t detected till now. What should be done?
