manu630
Ah i forgot to mention, it is the intel version. Btw phoenix bios editor refuses to open the rom file, extracted from the bios autoinstaller with switch -writeromfile. Do you know if that is something that can be overcome? And again thanks for all the effort you guys put into it.
crc-error404
Sorry... PhoenixBiosEditor won't work with those Dell Bioses... Dell have crypted their Bioses and PBE can't decrypt it. So one of the possibilities is making changes in Hex-Editor (like i did) or something else which i don't know. If u find a solution - please contact me cheers
joemax
I have D630 NVIDIA OSX 6.7 installed partition 1 Tried the bios, it took, but system was inoperable, could not get anything to load. Set original Dell bios 17 and everything works fine I have: Sleep Wireless USB Dual Monitor --No Two Finger Scrolling, can't figure that one out at all. CPU fan seems to be going constantly, not sure how to address that. Bottom line, the only thing I saw with the Bios was the Apple Logo and so I wonder if there is any other improvement in there, and why it doesn't work for me. devious
Joemax, I get the same results, I had to restore A17 for everything to function again, the only OS that worked was DOS, and that was just to flash the bios back.
crc-error404
Not so good to hear... Only changes are insert SLIC, DSDT and changing splashscreen. So if it isnt stable for you flash back original bios and use dsdt.aml instead
